Announcement
5th International Symposium on
Development and Application of Semiconductor
Tracking Detectors
The
5th International Symposium on Development and Application of
Semiconductor
Tracking Detectors (5th STD Hiroshima) will be held on June
14 - 17 at
the Essor Hiroshima Hotel in Hiroshima, Japan.
On behalf of organizing
committee we would like to sincerely invite you to
the symposium and ask
you to contribute a paper.
The last symposium was held on March
2000. Since then, we have certainly
accumulated a vast collection of
topics worthy of a new meeting. The
primary goal of this symposium is to
bring experts together for discussions
of past experiences (good and bad)
and allow them to scrutinize new ideas
while still in the development
stage.
In addition to the above goals, we would like to summarize
and review the
technologies established through this Symposium in the
past, and to
identify new directions, new materials, new ideas to be
developed in the
coming years.
Attached is the proposed
program. Please have a look and submit your
contribution for the
different sessions. Most of the topics will be
introduced by invited
speakers. There will be ample time for discussions of
the posters during
coffee/tea breaks.
